Welcome to Douglas County Hunting Association

About DCHA

DCHA leases over 4000 acres of land across Georgia, located mainly in the northern zone and most are readily accessible from Interstate 20. These properties/leases include a mixture of timber land and private owned properties located in Carroll, Coweta, Haralson, Taliaferro and Warren Counties.

As a DCHA member, you are welcome to hunt any or all tracts of DCHA properties. Many of our main tracts of land have campsites. Unfortunately, due to the lack of hunters currently hunting on some of the leases, electric hook-ups are offered only on the Whitesburg and Taliaferro camping grounds. We are open to the idea of installing power at the other campsites when we see that demand warrants it and finances allow it. Please check out our tracts on the map page for details.

DCHA is governed by a strong set of by-laws, which are located on this website. In accordance with our by-laws, we abide by the DNR laws concerning hunting. As hunters, we abide by the game laws set forth by the State of Georgia. We take the laws seriously. Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of a membership and membership dues.

We are not only hunters but environmentalists. We manage our deer herd. Although none of our leased tracts of land are in mandatory antler-restricted counties, we have designated tracts that have imposed QDM regulations. This allows members an opportunity to harvest a trophy buck.

We believe that as responsible hunters we are doing what is right.
